formalighting is transforming our approach to design and engineering, collaborating with partners and institutions to extend the life of our products and ensure the application of “reuse, repair, and recycle”.
By combining product modularity with intelligently engineered mechanical components, designed to facilitate tool-less, onsite maintenance and/or upgrades, the need to return fixtures to the manufacturer is eliminated, which will further reduce the carbon emissions created by the fixture during its life cycle
Our award-winning products include Colosseo recognized for “Best Efficacy” and Maintainability in 2019 and Zero 40 for “Best Efficacy” in 2020.

formalighting’s manufacturing facilities have installed cardboard shredders to ensure that all waste cardboard product packaging can be transformed onsite, into eco-friendly packaging material to protect our products.
Since 2021 formalighting has been transforming its product packaging to 100% recyclable cardboard, paper and tape with soy-based ink.
To further mitigate our carbon emissions in transportation, the design of standard packaging has been customized to reduce any unnecessary bulk and maximize the number of luminaires per master carton for improved efficiency in volume and cost. This ongoing challenge is embraced through our exploration of new, biodegradable materials as well as improved packaging design.

Casambi Mesh with Bluetooth Low Energy
Wireless technology provides lighting designers and manufacturers with the ability to wirelessly link devices together enabling the creation of customizable smart lighting networks that are remotely configured and controlled using the Casambi App.
Bluetooth Low Energy technology is used for creating a mesh network, which enables encrypted device-to-device wireless communication inside the lighting network.

With increasing carbon emissions set to be one of the greatest environmental and economic challenges of our time, formlighting is taking part in the DHL GOGREEN PLUS program to improve the carbon efficiency of our supply chain.
In 2024 formalighting proudly converted all its vehicles to hybrid or fully electric vehicles (in both its Milan and Nanhai HQs).
