ALCHEMICA Exhibition has officially opened its doors and we’re honored to be at the heart of it.

As the Exclusive Architectural Lighting Partner for Elle Decor’s ALCHEMICA, formalighting is proud to illuminate Patricia Urquiola’s visionary installation, curated by Elle Decor Italia in celebration of its 35th anniversary at the iconic Palazzo Bovara.

In the space light weaves through color, material, and form – crafting a multi-sensory journey that captures the spirit of alchemy and transformation.

Designed by the renowned Patricia Urquiola Studio, with lighting design by Valerio Tiberi, this immersive experience explores the metamorphosis of domestic space, told through the symbolic stages of Nigredo, Albedo, and Rubedo.

Throughout each environment, light becomes a protagonist – shifting emotions, sculpting textures, and creating contrast. From soft indirect glows to powerful, theatrical accents, the lighting choreography creates a dynamic interplay between shadow and brilliance.

At formalighting, we thank the brilliant Valerio Tiberi and Alessandro Manni for bringing our most advanced architectural lighting solutions to the forefront.

Together with Patricia Urquiola, Valerio Tiberi, Netsuke Studio and Studio Antonio Perazzi, we’ve co-created an exhibition where light is not simply applied – it is orchestrated.

ALCHEMICA is a space that breathes, invites reflection, and elevates the emotional impact of contemporary design.
